SUMMARY:Disabled People’s Network
DESCRIPTION:The network is a part of the larger Equalities Hub in Tower Hamlets and the aim of the network is to work in partnership to meaningfully engage disabled people and Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations. This is because we want to strengthen the voice, representation and participation and identify issues in the borough that have an impact on disabled people. We anticipate that the network will increase awareness and understanding of people with disabilities and act as a mechanism for the Council and other local agencies to consult with local residents who are disabled.
